Les Producteurs de lait du Québec (PLQ) will hold their Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Saint-Hyacinthe Convention Centre on April 16 and 17. The event will be available to follow on the organization’s Facebook page (@ProdLaitQc) and YouTube channel (@LesProducteursdelaitduQuébec).
On April 16, starting at 9:55 a.m., the General Director of the Quebec Milk Producers (PLQ), Geneviève Rainville, will present the 2023 Annual Report, followed by a message from President Daniel Gobeil at 11:10 a.m. Around 1:30 p.m., there will be a discussion on milk marketing and future perspectives. The marketing priorities for 2024 will follow at 2:30 p.m. The winners of the excellence segment of the Lait’xcellent contest will be announced at 3:45 p.m., followed by a message from Martin Caron, President of the UPA, at 4:15 p.m.
On April 17, representatives from the Canadian Dairy Commission and Dairy Farmers of Canada will speak at 8:45 a.m. and 9:15 a.m., respectively. A conference on international trade issues and recent developments by Steve Verheul will follow at 9:45 a.m. The speech by Quebec’s Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food, André Lamontagne, as well as presentations of research projects, are also scheduled throughout the day.
