From February 10 to 28, Les Producteurs de lait du Québec is participating as an official sponsor in the Montréal en lumière festival. For the fourth year, the Milk Family Fun Zone will be located on the Esplanade de la Place des Arts, right in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles. The 110-metre Milk Urban Slide will also be back with sound effects and multi-coloured lights. The Milk Mini Slide will be set up right next to it to entertain the little ones.
Visitors will also be able to warm up with hot milk-based beverages, commemorate their visit with photos in front of the zany murals in the Milk Family Fun Zone, or have fun playing giant-sized games. The details of the event are available on the Montréal en lumière Web site.
The Festival of Quebec Cheeses
The Festival of Quebec Cheeses is back for the 9th time and will be held at the Grande-Place of the Complexe Desjardins from February 19 to 21. Cheesemakers will be on site to offer tastings of around sixty cheeses and answer visitor questions. A cheese specialist and wine consultant will suggest pairings between Quebec cheese and wine, cider and beer.
Quebec Chefs and Cheeses Evening
The 6th Quebec Chefs and Cheeses Evening moderated by Francis Reddy will take place on Saturday, February 21. During this evening, four distinguished chefs from Radio-Canada’s Les Chefs! show will each present a three-course meal featuring cheese. Guests will have to vote on the best dish in each course. Les Producteurs de lait du Québec will present a $5,000 prize to the chef who receives the most votes from the public for his or her creations and $1,000 to the finalists. All recipes presented during the evening will be available at www.ourcheeses.com after the event.
