Day camps
Dairy Farmers of Canada runs the Day Camp project in collaboration with the regional councils of Les Producteurs de lait du Québec in ten regions: Beauce, Centre-du-Québec, Estrie, Lanaudière, Mauricie, Montérégie-Est, Montérégie-Ouest, Outaouais-Laurentides, Québec and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean.
This project proposes an educational and a cooking activity for children aged 4 to 12 who come to the day camps and event sites. One of the goals of the project is to raise children’s awareness of the importance of a healthy and balanced diet, which includes consuming dairy products, fruits and vegetables every day. The day camps are led by students in nutrition.

Classroom visits by producers
The Route du lait program brings older students at elementary and secondary schools in the Montérégie-Est and Montérégie-Ouest regions into contact with a producer who teaches them more about cows and dairy production.
The program has two parts: a classroom visit by a producer and a farm visit by students.
