Les Producteurs de lait du Québec (PLQ) will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Le Concorde Hotel in Quebec City on April 17 and 18.
On April 17, starting at 9:55 a.m., Alain Bourbeau, PLQ’s General Manager, will present the 2018 Annual Report followed at 11:10 a.m. by Chair Bruno Letendre’s speech. Both presentations can be viewed on a live broadcast on the Facebook page of Les Producteurs de lait du Québec. In the afternoon, Pierre Lampron, the President of Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC), and the Vice-Presidente marketing, Pamela Nalewajek, will speak to delegates. At 2:15 p.m, a presentation of Isabelle Neiderer, Director, Nutrition and Research at DFC, will also be diffused on a live broadcast on the PLQ’s Facebook page. The winners of the excellence category of the Lait’xcellent competition will be revealed at the end of the day.
On April 18, marketing issues, trade agreements and future prospects will be the main topics of discussion. Quebec’s Minister of Agriculture, André Lamontagne, and a representative of the federal government, are expected in the morning. At 1:30 p.m., Jean-Michel Couture, from Groupe Agéco, will come to present the latest results from the Life Cycle of Milk assessment. Marcel Groleau, President of the Union des producteurs agricoles, and Elise Gosselin, from Novalait, are expected later during the day.
